Transitioning from Academia to Industry: The Role of Medical Affairs in a Modern Pharmaceutical Company
Interested in a scientiﬁc or medical career away from the bench? Come learn about the different opportunities within medical affairs from three scientists who have already made the jump.
They will also introduce and ﬁeld questions about the 2-year Biogen Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for all upcoming or recent PhD graduates interested in a hands-on opportunity to experience the different functional areas within medical affairs.
This 10-week summer program places science, engineering, and mathematics students at media organizations nationwide. Fellows use their academic training as they research, write, and report today’s headlines, sharpening their abilities to communicate complex scientific issues to the public.
This year's conference theme, Back to the Future of Healthcare, has a special focus on the intersection of healthcare and technology. Given the better understanding of human condition enabled by tech capabilities, we will discuss how can we improve the patient experience, speed up adoption of novel treatments, cut costs, and improve overall healthcare delivery.
