2018 Boston Science Diplomacy Workshop

Are you interested in contributing to informed decision-making at global-local levels?   As a natural or social scientist, do you want to develop negotiation skills to succeed in diplomatic contexts?

The Boston Science Diplomacy Workshop can help. Building up on the first-ever workshop of its kind in 2017, this two-day, highly interactive session aims to provide participants with 1) an understanding of science diplomacy theory and practice and 2) crucial skills in negotiation and consensus building, in relation to scientific issues in national and international settings. The program will feature a number of speakers, including professors, practitioners, and international diplomats. Graduate students from all fields and schools are invited to attend.

The workshop will be held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), 27 – 28 September 2018. The program, supplementary materials, and registration can be found here. Registration ($60) is open through September 24th.

The workshop is co-organized by the Science Impact Collaborative at MIT and the Science Diplomacy Center at The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
