Curriculum Specialist @ miniPCR bio

At miniPCR bio, our mission is to foster a scientifically literate society. We design tools that broaden the reach of  biotechnologies and expand possibilities in STEM education. Our products and programs create opportunities for  everyone to engage in authentic scientific discovery and hands-on experimentation. 

Opportunity 

We are looking for a talented science educator to help grow our core educational offerings. Along with innovative  biotechnology products, our team designs novel curriculum for students to engage in experiential learning, from  middle school to college and also in informal settings. This is a unique opportunity to engage and inspire youth with  the passion for discovery. 

You will 

• Create hands-on and virtual curriculum offerings in biotechnology 

• Develop kits using our proprietary technology and reagents  

• Collaborate with our engineering team to develop novel educational hardware  

• Provide and receive feedback to and from other Curriculum team members 

• Train and support educators in the use of our products, remotely and In person 

Skills and qualifications 

• Strong science background 

• Experience in science education 

• Ability to operate as part of a team 

• Strong oral and written communication skills 

• Project management experience 

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess: 

• Advanced science degree and experience working in a research lab environment. 

• Classroom teaching experience, ideally high school biology or middle school life sciences. • Familiarity with curriculum standards and frameworks. 

• Experience developing and implementing innovative biology curriculum.  

Requirements 

This is a full-time role, with potential for remote work. It will require you to travel to engage students and teachers  in public workshops and educational conferences, and to organize training events.
