The Career Navigator Team, in the Office for Graduate Education at Harvard Medical School (HMS), is pleased to be a point of contact between employers and students across 11 HMS-based master's programs and the 13 Harvard Integrated Life Sciences (HILS) PhD programs from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Annual Career Fairs
Each year, Harvard University hosts multiple career fairs organized around different sectors and functions. All Schools across the University support and participate in these fairs, maximizing your employer outreach and recruitment efforts by giving you access to widest range of our students.
Nine of these fairs - those most relevant to our healthcare and life sciences graduate students - are listed on our HMS Career Planner calendar. We welcome and strongly encourage employers interested in recruiting from across our 11 HMS master's and 13 HILS PhD programs to participate.

Our students come from 11 HMS-based master’s programs and 13 GSAS HILS (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Harvard Integrated Life Sciences) PhD programs. Students in the master’s programs are admitted at HMS, and students gain admission to the PhD programs through GSAS.

There are a few different ways to submit job opportunities to the Career Navigator.
Employers may submit job postings by emailing them the navigator directly at careernavigator@hms.harvard.edu, or by creating an employer account on Career Launchpad. Once your employer profile has been created, you can post and manage job opportunities directly through the platform.
There are several ways to introduce your organization to HMS master’s and GSAS HILS (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Harvard Integrated Life Sciences) PhD students and alumni and increase awareness of your internship, job and recruitment opportunities.
We encourage employers to participate in our recruiting and networking events, including career fairs and on-campus recruiting (OCR), to connect directly with our community. Some HMS master’s and GSAS HILS (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Harvard Integrated Life Sciences) PhD students, depending on their program’s eligibility policies, are available to participate in internships that are supported through our office.
Eligible HMS master’s students are available for part-time internships throughout the year, and for full-time internships in select time periods.
Eligible GSAS HILS PhD students can complete internships during the summer and/or January term.
Please note: Due to the time needed to complete their course requirements, our students are not available to participate in 6-months co-op experiences at any time throughout the year.
