Focused on STEM Education Reform and Organizational Change


The Withers laboratory in the Biological Sciences Department at Binghamton University, SUNY, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biology Education and Research with a strong focus in STEM education reform at the departmental and organizational level. The post-doctoral fellow will aid in design, implementation and evaluation of a STEM education reform project working at the level of departments and starting in the Biological Sciences.

 

Binghamton University is poised for meaningful comprehensive STEM reform. There is much momentum and potential for transformation due to strong administrative support, an engaged Center for Learning and Teaching, and a successful Freshman Research Immersion program, modeled after UT-Austin, that has put the need for curricular reform on the radar of most faculty.

 

The position is a 2-year term that may begin as early as January 1, 2019. Continuation in the position beyond the 2-year term is dependent upon acquisition of external funding.
