Life Science Fellow, AIN Ventures
AIN is a venture fund focused on pre-seed and seed-stage investments in Deep/Frontier Technologies to include Life Sciences. The network offers mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to funding, enabling startups to navigate the complexities of bringing their discoveries to market. Through its comprehensive approach, AIN aims to accelerate the development of impactful solutions that improve patient care and outcomes, and is keenly focused on those companies that have the ability to improve outcomes for U.S. military veterans and active duty personnel.
We are seeking motivated graduate students in the life sciences to join our team as a Fellow for a six-month position. This part-time role requires a commitment of 5-10 hours per week and offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the managing partner on evaluating investment opportunities in the life science sectors. The fellowship offers a vast network of investors, entrepreneurs and subject matter experts and can serve as a catalyst for a successful career in venture capital and entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the managing partner to assess potential investment deals and understand the inner workings of the investment process.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on life science companies and their technologies.
- Engage with founders of life science-based companies as they navigate the AIN due diligence pipeline.
- Analyze data and present findings to support investment decisions, gaining insight into what makes a strong investment opportunity.
Qualifications:
- Current MSc, MD, MD/PhD or PhD student in a life sciences discipline
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Interest in venture capital and investment within the life sciences field
Compensation:
$30 - $40 per hour depending on experience level
