Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program (HPREP)

The Health Professions Recruitment & Exposure Program (HPREP) at Harvard Medical School is a high school science enrichment program aimed at recruiting high school students from the Boston area, particularly those from underserved and underrepresented backgrounds, into science and medicine. High school students participate in fun, interactive scientific lessons and workshops, as well as one-on-one mentoring. Graduate and medical students can serve as mentors by working one-on-one with high school students to write personal statements and conduct a research project, as teachers by designing curricula and teaching or facilitating lectures and labs, or in program management capacities, and may also hold leadership positions within the organization.
