We are seeking a part-time Community Engagement Lead to co-develop and implement a communications and outreach strategy for Professional Development Hub, a national initiative and resource hub to advance educational practices for the professional development of STEMM graduate students and postdocs. This is a flexible-hours, remote or hybrid position. The Community Engagement Lead will co-develop our communications strategy (in partnership with our Communications Working Group) and draft/edit written and visual communications, including e-newsletters, online news and community blogs, press releases, social media content, website content, presentation slides, and other media. Primary audiences are stakeholder communities related to STEM graduate and postdoctoral education (see “Who we work with” mid-way through our homepage). Hours are anticipated to be 5-20 hours per week, and can be negotiated. We welcome applications from candidates with significant communications experience, or from those earlier in their careers seeking to expand upon their experience. Demonstrated skills in written and/or visual communications for diverse audiences is required. Familiarity with the culture of STEM graduate/postdoctoral education is preferred.
