[HILS] Applications for Harvard Horizons are now open!

September 11, 2018

Applications for Harvard Horizons, a professional development opportunity that features and supports the extraordinary researchers who make up Harvard’s PhD community, are open now and close atnoon on October 12. Each year, eight PhD candidates are chosen as Harvard Horizons Scholars and receive in-depth, personalized mentoring and coaching designed to enhance their presentation skills. The program culminates in the Harvard Horizons Symposium, where Horizons Scholars deliver brief, compelling talks about their research from the Sanders Theatre stage; this year’s symposium takes place on April 10, 2019.

In addition to receiving intensive communications training, the Harvard Horizons Scholars also build community with peers in other fields and develop relationships with one or more of the Harvard Horizons Faculty Fellows, a committee of professors representing a broad range of disciplines. All 15 finalists may access up to $1,000 of professional development funds.
