DESCRIPTION:<p>	Are you interested in learning new teaching techniques based on learning science? Are you looking for advice on professional growth, the academic job search, and transitioning to a teaching career? </p><p>	Simmons University's Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) and the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows is co-hosting "Teaching in Action" on Monday, August 3 from 1-3pm. This interactive program is designed for early career faculty, postdocs, and graduate students. </p><p>	The first part of this program will consist of four teaching technique demonstrations by Simmons faculty, followed by a faculty panel discussion providing advice on transitioning to a teaching career and advice for new faculty.</p><p>	The facilitators of this program are Jennifer Herman (CET), Ruthann Thomas (CET), Cherie Ramirez (Chemistry/Physics), Matt Schwartz (Biology), and Lisa Brown (Nutrition).</p><p>	<a data-url="https://postdoc.hms.harvard.edu/event/teaching-in-action" href="https://postdoc.hms.harvard.edu/event/teaching-in-action" title="">Register here.</a></p>
