DESCRIPTION:<p dir="ltr">	Please join Kevin Wehmhoefer LICSW, Outreach Coordinator and Staff Clinician at Counseling and Mental Health Services/HUHS for an informal presentation which will review the benefits of mindfulness  and instruct attendees on how to start and sustain a practice that will support improved self-care, self-awareness and resiliency while strengthening stress management, perspective and overall effectiveness at work and at home. Presentation will include:</p><ul>	<li dir="ltr">		<p dir="ltr">			General review of mindfulness practices, goals and benefits		</p>	</li>	<li dir="ltr">		<p dir="ltr">			Tips and tools for beginning you own practice/pitfalls to same		</p>	</li>	<li dir="ltr">		<p dir="ltr">			Managing thoughts and feelings		</p>	</li>	<li dir="ltr">		<p dir="ltr">			Managing stress/distress		</p>	</li>	<li dir="ltr">		<p dir="ltr">			Exploring different types of meditations		</p>	</li>	<li dir="ltr">		<p dir="ltr">			Use of technology and Apps		</p>	</li></ul><p dir="ltr">	We will have the opportunity to try out a few brief meditations during the presentation.</p><p dir="ltr">	<strong>May is Mental Health Awareness Month.  This session is part of the multi-session "PGE Career Navigator Series: Wellbeing as a Foundation for Professional Success", being hosted in collaboration with the Countway Library.</strong></p><p dir="ltr">	 </p><p>	 </p>
