Tenure track, assistant professor of microbiology @ Dominican University

December 4, 2018
Dominican University is searching for a tenure-track, assistant professor of microbiology, beginning in fall 2019.  We are a small liberal arts school, in the vibrant community of River Forest / Oak Park, which directly borders Chicago.  Our student body and faculty are diverse, and our school has a strong social justice mission.  We were recently awarded an NSF grant and a department of education grant, both in support of inclusive pedagogy.  I think that when it comes to the idea of good teaching that really helps students succeed, our school is a place where you can walk the walk.

Our ideal candidates will be able to teach undergraduate-level microbiology, introductory/general biology, and cell biology.  We are also looking for candidates with a research program that can involve undergraduates.

We will begin reviewing applicants on Dec. 15, 2018, but will review all applications until the position is filled.
