TRex Bio is a science-based company that is expanding its discovery team to discover and develop innovative therapies to treat cancer or inflammatory diseases. We are utilizing unique gene expression and biology validation platforms to select and advance therapeutic targets. We are looking for “Scientists” that are able to take targets from early stage and advance the biology towards therapeutics with a focus on regulatory T cells. In addition, we are looking to establish functional human T cell assays to screen various targets. These positions offer an opportunity to work as part of a small, dynamic team.

The role is responsible for:

·         Ability to process external and internal datasets to design and execute critical path studies

·         Developing various immunological assays including FACS, ELISA, Immune cell co-cultures, to interrogate pathways and enable decisions on targets

·         Familiar with working with human immune cells or various tissues

·         Expertise in T cell functional assays and Crisper is an asset

 

Preferred Qualifications

PhD, with postdoctoral training and research experience in the fields of immunology, oncology and/or cancer immunotherapy

·         Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement in the areas of immunology and/or oncology as demonstrated by multiple high impact publications

·         Demonstrated experience in leading independent research and drug development

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and troubleshoot to solve problems

·         Experience working in teams and consistently delivering results
