#  Research Analyst @ Harvard University

The Research Analyst will be a key contributor and collaborate with other OIRA team members to help realize the Office’s goals of presenting important institutional data to diverse audiences and executing research projects that address strategic questions for the University. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Institutional Research for Reporting, the Analyst will work with independently and with Harvard clients on projects ranging from internal and external reporting needs to University-wide analytic projects.  
  
The ideal candidate will have experience with, or an eagerness to learn more about, multiple steps in the data lifecycle, including acquisition, cleaning, processing, analysis, documenting, validation, and visualization. Knowledge of basic statistical methods is also desirable, as well as comfort working with quantitative and/or qualitative data. An interest in higher education and the organizational structure of universities is a must.  
  
Activities may include:- Managing and reporting on data from a wide variety of sources;
- Working with personnel across the University to collect and refine data;
- Writing scripts to help automate data and business processes;
- Producing descriptive and inferential analyses under the direction of a senior analyst;
- Presenting to audiences internal and external to the University.
