Postdoctoral Position @ Brigham and Women's Hospital

June 17, 2020
A postdoctoral fellow position is available for a motivated scientist to study the role of
extracellular acidosis and carbonic anhydrases in the regulation of pulmonary vascular
homeostasis, cardiac metabolic profile and/or skeletal muscle function. The candidate
should have a recent MD, PhD or MD/PhD in the biological sciences, the ability to work
independently, and a good background in cellular and molecular biology techniques
and/or animal physiology and/or high throughput studies and/or epigenetic studies. Our
research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the
development of pulmonary hypertension as a systemic disease and novel approaches to
treat it. We are using classical methods of gene and protein analysis, cell biology
functional studies, high throughput studies and animal physiology studies. Interested
applicants should e-mail a brief description of research interests and curriculum vitae that
includes contact information for three references to: Dr. Helen Christou, Department of
Pediatric Newborn Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston MA.
