The Khor laboratory at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason Hospital is seeking highly motivated and creative postdoctoral candidates. The Khor lab works to understand novel pathways regulating inflammation and autoimmunity. Pathways of translational interest emerge from our study of autoimmune-relevant pathways dysregulated in people with Down syndrome, as well as discovery of novel druggable regulators of inflammation. Our approach is multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative, ranging from integrative multi-omic studies in both human and animal models to targeted knockout approaches. Our goal is to empower precision therapy of immune-mediated diseases in people with and without Down syndrome.
Benaroya Research Institute is an internationally recognized medical research institute focused on finding cures for autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases. We stress excellence in advanced laboratory experimentation and carefully designed translational research programs. This offers our scientists the opportunity to directly impact the lives of people suffering from diseases including type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, allergies and asthma.
A recent, or anticipated, PhD in Immunology is required. Experience in multi parameter flow-cytometry is strongly preferred, as is experience with animal handling and models of inflammation/infection.
Interested candidates should send inquiries, including a 1-page description of their current work, and a C.V., to email@example.com.
