Paid Mentorship Opportunity with Polygence

May 17, 2021

Polygence is an online research academy that connects high school students with academic experts like yourself to complete student-driven research projects. We pay MA and PhD candidates a competitive rate of $75+ per hour-long session ($750+ per project) depending on qualifications.

Polygence's mission is to democratize access to research, especially within underserved communities. You will be joining our community of 500+ researchers who are passionate to inspire future scholars and scientists. As one of our mentors, you would be paired with as many or as few students as you'd like. You would meet them 1-on-1 for 10 one-hour online sessions over the course of 3-5 months. Most students are eager to start the program in the spring and complete the bulk of their project of the summer. Over the past two years, our neuroscience students have completed projects in subjects ranging from the neuroscience of dementianeuroplasticity and schizophrenia, to research on Alzheimer’s. Plus, as a Polygence mentor you will be able to hone your teaching  expertise and work on communicating your ideas to a non-expert audience- all important skills to have on the job market!

Polygence also has a thriving pro bono program that offers our services for free to low-income students. If you're interested in working one-on-one with one of our ambitious students, apply to be a mentor here and book a call here or reach out to mentors@polygence.org to learn more!
