IRACDA Post-Doctoral Fellow @ Virginia Commonwealth University

February 9, 2020

I write to make you aware of a unique NIH-funded postdoctoral training program in research and teaching. VCU IRACDA provides trainees with a traditional mentored research experience, plus mentored teaching experience. VCU is a major research university with more than $310M funding per year, and a vast number and variety of potential research mentors. Another mission of the program is to increase diversity in the biomedical workforce, working with teaching mentors at Virginia Union University and Virginia State University. Trainees completing VCU IRACDA have succeeded in entering faculty positions at various institution types.

Please forward this email to PhD students interested in an academic career. Also, feel free to share it with graduate program directors and graduate deans at your institution. I would be happy to field questions from faculty members, and from students who have potential interest in VCU IRACDA.

We are currently accepting applications for postdoctoral fellows who will begin work at VCU in 2020. For more information and the online application, visit the VCU Center on Health Disparities website at: https://healthdisparities.vcu.edu/researchtraining/postdoctoral-programs/iracda/

VCU is in downtown Richmond. Richmond is an affordable city that is attracting a growing number of creative young professionals. There are new residential lofts, restaurants, and art galleries opening every month along the white-water of the James River.

Thank you for spreading the word about the VCU IRACDA postdoctoral program to candidates who could benefit from this training. Please note that VCU IRACDA can only support US citizens, US permanent residents and US nationals.
