[HILS] Journal of Emerging Investigators seeking editors and peer reviewers!

September 5, 2019

Looking for a way to give back through science outreach, all while furthering your professional development as a scientist?

The Journal of Emerging Investigators (JEI) is a non-profit academic journal and mentoring program dedicated to enhancing scientific literacy in middle and high school students. JEI was established by science graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to reinvest in the next generation of researchers, both teaching skills in scientific communication and lowering barriers to publication of student research.  Since then, JEI has spread to 50 research institutions worldwide, with a volunteer staff of over 200 PhD candidates and postdocs serving 500 secondary school students each year.

We think JEI is unique because we're managed entirely by graduate students and postdocs, and we’re currently recruiting new graduate students and post docs to serve as editors and peer reviewers. For more on who we are, check out our website (www.emerginginvestigators.org) or email us at editor@emerginginvestigators.org.
