Call for Nominations for the Albert J. Ryan Award

February 7, 2022

The application period for the 2022 Albert J. Ryan Award is now open.

The Albert J. Ryan Fellowship was established in 1967 by Mr. Ryan's daughter in order to recognize "outstanding students who show promise of becoming research scholars and who show a capacity to contribute to the advancement of knowledge of medical science."  Students chosen have demonstrated excellence in their course work and in their research. Selected students are also provided an opportunity to share their research with other Fellows and faculty from the three beneficiaries of the Ryan Foundation at the annual Harold Amos Symposium each May. The three beneficiaries are Dartmouth College, the University of Cincinnati, and the Division of Medical Sciences at Harvard Medical School.

Travel stipends in the amount of $3,000 will be awarded to selected students.  These selected students will also attend a symposium to present their thesis work May 5-7, 2022.
