The Department of Biology invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position to start in September 2019. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and a commitment to departmental service. The candidate will be expected to teach a range of courses including Introductory Biology and Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratory courses, both within the Biology major and the newly-established Bachelor of Science in Nursing major. The candidate may also teach upper level Biology electives within the candidate's specialty. The teaching requirement for this Lecturer position is 4 courses (lectures and labs) in both the fall and spring semesters.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the College's mission and the value of a Catholic higher education. A Ph.D. in a relevant topic of Biology is required along with demonstration of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Candidates must also have a commitment to the success of students who belong to groups underrepresented in science and excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and leadership skills.
