Assistant Professor non-tenure track


The incumbent will contribute to, and lead, lab activities in a lab that has used biochemical/cell biological/genetic approaches to understand membrane protein trafficking events (e.g. Exp Cell Res. 372:1-15, 2018). The candidate will have been actively engaged in cutting-edge laboratory research in an area of cell biology/biochemistry with potential relevance to cancer biology or neuroscience and scholarly activity to enhance the academic environment of the department. Performing experiments, analyzing data, mentoring trainees, grant preparation, writing manuscripts, and lab management are all aspects of this position.
The successful candidate will have will have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degrees with
postdoctoral training. Substantial laboratory and manuscript/grant writing experience are required, as is evidence of scientific rigor, creativity, and originality. Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to interact with a range of personnel including faculty, students, and support staff.
