#  Postdoctoral Fellow – Immunology and Single-Cell Genomics in T1D @ University of Pennsylvania

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist with expertise in both computational biology and experimental immunology to join our team in Philadelphia. Our lab is investigating the mechanisms underlying autoimmunity in type 1 diabetes (T1D) and identifying novel cellular biomarkers for early disease detection. You will have the opportunity to work with unique, well-characterized human samples and to collaborate with leaders in immunology and translational research.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Define T cell responses to commensal microbes in intestinal tissues and peripheral blood using ex vivo stimulation and MHC class II tetramer-based approaches.
- Perform and analyze single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and TCR-seq from sorted antigen-specific T cells and various other immune subsets.
- Identify and validate novel cellular biomarkers of islet autoimmunity and explore their mechanistic roles in disease pathogenesis.

**Qualifications:**

- Ph.D. in immunology, computational biology, systems biology, or a related field
- Experience with single-cell genomics, flow cytometry, and T cell biology
- Strong computational skills in R or Python, with a track record of analyzing high-dimensional datasets
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
