This is the seventh annual workshop in the Information Frontiers program training students in data and information science topics. Hosted by the Center for Science of Information, an NSF Science & Technology Center, the Center covers all lodging, meals, and travel expenses to participate. Participants will gain hands-on experience by working through the key stages of scientifically visualizing data while examining case studies from critical geography and data journalism in order to develop frameworks for ethical and just data visualization practices that can be applied to their work.
