 National reports have for decades called for change in graduate education, to better address the career preparation and professional development of graduate students to empower them for this reality. Dr. Cynthia Fuhrmann will describe NIH-funded curricular innovations to center career development as a core component of PhD training at UMass Medical School, and describe new initiatives led by Professional Development Hub, a recently-announced cross-stakeholder initiative to support national systemic change.
