Bioinformatics Summer Bootcamp at Countway Library

Join the Harvard Catalyst and Countway Library for a summer certificate program featuring an introductory overview of bioinformatics, from Genome browsers and Databases, sequence alignment, microarrays, next generation sequencing to functional analysis through hands-on use of common tools. The following topics will be covered: Introduction to Bioinformatics, Introduction to Amazon Cloud and Unix basics, Making the Most of the UCSC and Ensembl Genome Browsers; BLAST Tips and Tricks; ENSEMBL, BioMart, and EMBL-EBI; Introduction to R and Unix, Introduction to Microarrays Analysis; Analyzing next generation sequencing data; mRNA-Seq Analysis using JMP Genomics; ChIP-Seq Data Analysis using Galaxy; and Functional Analysis of Genomic Data using Metacore.  NOTE: THOSE WHO ATTEND MOST OF THE WORKSHOPS WILL BE ISSUED A CERTIFICATE AT THE END OF THE BOOT CAMP. Bootcamp will be held during June-August.
