The Art of a Great Chalk Talk (Day 1)

3:00pm to 4:30pm

Location:

Cannon Room
The “chalk talk” is an essential component of a successful academic job search and in some circumstances it can be an effective way to teach, yet graduate students and postdocs have limited opportunities to practice or even observe candidate talks. The objective of this nanocourse is to provide anyone on an academic track with strategies to develop and execute an effective chalk talk. Registered participants will prepare a short talk and receive feedback from faculty and their peers.
